What to Expect

When you come to our office for a pregnancy test you will be treated with respect and without judgment. Our staff is professional and caring, and many of us have experienced an unplanned pregnancy, so we are sympathetic to your situation.

Because we want to address your individual needs and answer your questions to the best of our ability, you should plan on between 30-45 minutes for your initial appointment. We value your time, so we recommend you make an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome.

We understand you may be nervous and need the support of a friend or family member, so please feel free to bring someone with you that you feel safe sharing your pregnancy test results with. We ask that you make other arrangements for young children so that you won’t be distracted while meeting with your nurse.

To ensure your confidentiality, we will take a copy of your photo ID to keep in your file. If you don’t have photo ID, we will take a picture of you when you come to our clinic. Your comfort and safety is priority with our staff.

All of our services are free, and we don’t ask for any insurance information from you.

If you come to our office for a pregnancy test, you will be asked to provide a urine sample during your appointment.

If your pregnancy test is positive, and your nurse determines you are at least 8 weeks gestation, you will have the opportunity to schedule a limited OB ultrasound. An ultrasound is the only way to confirm a viable pregnancy. You should plan on being in our office around 30 minutes for an ultrasound appointment.
